JM: Did you get off early based on good behavior? castly: Yes, I got off a total of six month's early due
to good conduct and behavior. They also said
they were over crowded and they had to release
me early. I was sure glad to get out of that
place early. I do not know what I would have
done if I had not been let out early. Sarah: no
JM: What is the most time off you can receive for good behavior? castly: I am not aware of the restrictions governing
early release as told and hold through and by
the county of upshur and the state of texas.
There were never no discussions held regarding
this early releasal procedure as no one ever
mentioned it in passing conversation. I never
asked for the laws regarding early releasal as I
was told if I enquired about an early release,
that I would be turned down by the governing
laws. Sarah: i believe for good behavior you might get 2 for 1
JM: What types of actions do you need to avoid in order to get time off? Did you ever witness somebody losing time off for good behavior? castly: I avoided fighting, use of drugs, use of
alcholic beverages. I also avoided befriending
the violent social norm that seemed to be in
power in the facility. I was told not to discuss
anything with the gaurds or the employees in the
prison. My attroney told me that talking with
the staff inside would mean you would have to
serve your whole sentence. Sarah: fightin, arguing with the c.o.s
